California Cobb Salad With Blue Cheese Dressing CRISP! romaine lettuce, chopped and ribs broken handful of sunflower seeds handful of walnuts one hardboiled egg, sliced mild blue cheese (wisconsin gorganzola is good) haas avacado, sliced perfect tomatoes, either cherry, grape or roma (chopped) bacon crumbles or bacos Arrange romaine lettuce on plate. Arrange each ingredient (other than the bacon/bacos) in its own separate area on the romaine lettuce, leaving a space in the middle for a large dollop of dressing. Spoon a few tablespoons of dressing in the middle of the salad. Sprinkle all with bacon/bacos. Blue Cheese Dressing (Seriously, this is so easy there is No Good Reason to eat that horrible stuff that comes pre-made out of a bottle.) sour cream mayonaise milk mild blue cheese (wisconsin gorganzola is good) salt and pepper to taste the sour cream and mayo are the base of the dressing, combine the rest of the ingredients to your desired thickness and cheesiness. Note: the blue cheese dressing can be made very low fat by using low fat sour cream, vegan mayo and skim milk. that's how i make it, actually, and it's delicious!
